Today we experienced an outage that effected most sites. The approximate downtime was 23 minutes.
With the monitoring systems we use, we were notified of the issue immediately and worked to correct the issue seconds after our servers went down.
There was a limitation in our system which caused a soft limit on the amount of files the file server could have open at one time. We modified and made improvements to the system to prevent this from occurring again.
